College Introduction & History
The Acharya Jawadekar college of Education had been established by Shri Mouni Vidyapeeth in 1956, Under the auspices presidentship of late Dr.V.T.Patil a renowned scholar and a great politician accompanied with the visionary vision of Padmashree Dr. J.P. Naik a great educationalist of international repute, the secretary of Indian Education commission 1964 –1966 an adviser to Central Govt., Chief executive to ICSSR , Member of NCERT and consultant to UNESCO for Universal elementary Education in Asia
The college is the esteemed and highly acknowledged training college in the state. It has been flourished on the ideal foundation of Dr. J.P. Naik. The college focuses on quality teachers training emphasizing all round development of prospective teachers by involving them in social, cultural & environmental activities impaling the spirit of secularism and National integration. The COE provides preserves training for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) affiliating to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and B.Ed., M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. Communication & ECCE Courses of YCMOU, Nashik. Previously it was running M.Ed, MSCIT, B.Sc. Agree Courses. The campus is spread over 65 acres of land having number of collaborative activities and auxiliary services in association with all the sister institutions of Shri. Mouni Vidyapeeth Gargoti.
